Micra spreads horizontally by producing runners—small shoots that branch off from the main stem. These shoots grow roots and form new clusters, eventually covering the substrate. Even without added CO₂, this process can occur steadily in a stable tank.
When Micra grows densely, trim the top layer with small aquascaping scissors. Replant the trimmings in open areas of your substrate. These pieces will root themselves and begin forming new patches within days.
